Moments
Presentation Functions, to which family, friends and colleagues are invited,each have a character of their own, and on occasions produce some special moments.
Silver Medals are traditionally presented by the Society Patron, His Excellency, The Right Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand GNZM, QSO, Governor-General of New Zealand
The Mayors of City and District Councils are invited to present other Royal Humane Society awards bestowed upon members of their communities.

Our Patron presented Inspector Alastair Dickie with his Silver Medal at a function
hosted by the Mayor of Dunedin, Mayor Peter Chin.

Jordan, with his family, had travelled from Australia to be
present.
Alastair also received the Charles Upham Trust 2006 Award
which he is holding.

Erik and Christine on the lawn at Government House with Monica and Francis Deery whose son,
Donal Deery, they had attempted to rescue. Sadly, despite their efforts, Donal did not survive his fall.
His parents had travelled from Belfast, Nth Ireland, to be present.

David's extended family provided traditional support to him in what
was a colourful and memorable occasion for all of those involved
